The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.7% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Expedia Group IT hiring in June 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Expedia Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 96.08% in June 2022, and a 25.76% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 1.96% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 92.31%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 1.96% in June 2022, a 50% drop from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 25.49%, registering a 62.86% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 15.69% share and a 33.33% drop over May 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 54.9% share in June 2022, a 20% decline over May 2022. India featured next with a 23.53% share, down 63.64% over the previous month. The UK recorded an 11.76% share, a decline of 14.29% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.59%, down by 35.71% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.69% share, a decline of 61.9% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.73% share, flat growth over May 2022.
