Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Expedia Group

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 45.31% share, which marked a 3.33% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 45.31%, registering a 49.12% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 9.38% share and a 53.85% drop over April 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 43.75% share in May 2022, a 50.88% decline over April 2022. India featured next with a 42.19% share, down 10% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 4.69% share, a decline of 70% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.5%, down by 53.49% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.13% share, a growth of 80% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.38% share, flat growth over April 2022.
