Germany’s travel & tourism industry registered a 9.0% drop in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.7% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.56% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.2% in May 2022, registering a 1.92% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 21.95% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.2%, registering a 33.33% decline from April 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.44%, down 60% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 8.54% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
FlixMobility posted 32 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 5.88% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Bahn with 23 jobs and a 9.52% growth. Deutsche Lufthansa with 12 IT jobs and TUI with 4 jobs, recorded a 20% decline and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Sixt recorded a decline of 33.33% with 4 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.93%, down by 11.69% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.2% share, registered an increase of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.88% share, down 33.33% over April 2022.
