
Germany’s travel & tourism industry registered a 9.2% drop in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.16% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.44% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.75% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.67% in April 2022, registering a 48.28% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.54% share, a decrease of 50% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.53%, registering a 22.22% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.26%, down 41.67% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 46.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
FlixMobility posted 49 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 33.78% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Bahn with 33 jobs and a 6.45% growth. Deutsche Lufthansa with 30 IT jobs and TUI with 11 jobs, recorded a 71.43% decline and a 60.71% decrease, respectively, while Hapag-Lloyd recorded an increase of 66.67% with 5 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 87.22%, down by 35.2% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 9.02% share, registered a decline of 71.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 3.01% share, down 86.21% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.75%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
