Germany’s travel & tourism industry registered a 12.4% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.02% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.94% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 1.01% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.11% in March 2022, registering a 16.23% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.99% share, a decrease of 2.22% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.49%, registering a 4.76% rise from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.63%, up 71.43% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.8% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Deutsche Lufthansa posted 95 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 53.23% over the previous month, followed by FlixMobility with 71 jobs and a 10.94% growth. Deutsche Bahn with 29 IT jobs and TUI with 28 jobs, recorded a 42% decline and a 211.11% growth, respectively, while Sixt recorded an increase of 11.76% with 19 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.5%, up by 13.21% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.44% share, registered an increase of 14.29% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.06% share, up 18.18% over February 2022.
