The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.29% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.48% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 2.27% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 43.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s travel & tourism industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 81 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by The Walt Disney with 35 jobs and a 40% growth. Capital A with 16 IT jobs and Uber Technologies with 15 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 275% growth, respectively, while Booking Holdings recorded a flat growth with 9 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.02%, up by 26.92% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.15% share, registered a decline of 4.08% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.33% share, up 64.29% over August 2022.
