
India’s travel & tourism industry registered an 18.6% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 22.83% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.13% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s travel & tourism industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.79% in November 2021, registering a 45.66% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 11.68% share, an increase of 141.18% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.98%, registering a 7.69% rise from October 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.27%, up 200% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 74.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s travel & tourism industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Guangdong Huatie Tongda High-speed Railway Equipment posted 106 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 67 jobs and a 34% growth. Expedia Group with 64 IT jobs and Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies with 19 jobs, recorded a 26.44% decline and a 46.15% flat growth, respectively, while Swiss Federal Railways recorded an increase of 137.5% with 19 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.4%, up by 43.36% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 28.77% share, registered an increase of 87.04% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.54% share, up 37.5% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.28%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
