The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.07% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.66% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.58% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Malaysia’s travel & tourism industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Genting posted 22 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 83.33% over the previous month, followed by Genting Group with 12 jobs and a 100% growth. Capital A with 10 IT jobs, recorded a 72.97% decline.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.55%, down by 27.27% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 40.91% share, registered an increase of 20% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.55% share, down 75% over June 2022.
