Netherlands travel & tourism industry registered a 21.3% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.07% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.84% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 1.41% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands travel & tourism industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 65.63% in September 2022, registering a 40% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.5% share, a decrease of 42.86% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.5%, registering a 55.56% decline from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.25%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 44.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands travel & tourism industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

NS Groep posted 23 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 56.6% over the previous month, followed by Uber Technologies with 2 jobs and a flat growth. Air France-KLM with 2 IT jobs and The Walt Disney with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while TUI recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.13%, down by 46.81% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.5% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.38% share, down 62.5% over August 2022.
