Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 50% in October 2021, a 66.67% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 12.5% in October 2021, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 12.5% in October 2021, a 50% drop from September 2021.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 12.5% in October 2021, a flat growth over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 12.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry during October 2021 over previous month.
JSL posted 2 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by TripAdvisor with 2 jobs and a flat growth. CWT with 1 IT job and Selina Holding Co with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 66.67% drop, respectively, while Soneva Mauritius recorded a 50% decline with 1 job postings during October 2021.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 37.5% share in October 2021, a 40% decrease over September 2021. Argentina featured next with a 25% share, flat growth over the previous month. Panama recorded a 25% share, a drop of 50% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.5%, down by 44.44% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 37.5% share, registered a decline of 62.5% compared with the previous month.
