The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.4% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.42% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.52% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.86% in June 2022, registering a 35.71% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.81% share, an increase of 25% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.05%, registering a 33.33% decline from May 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.52%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 150% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Hotelbeds S.L.U. posted 7 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 250% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 2 jobs and a flat growth. The Walt Disney with 2 IT jobs and A.P. Moller – Maersk with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while TripAdvisor recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 95.24%, up by 5.26% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 4.76% share, registered a decline of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
