Spain’s travel & tourism industry registered a 7.5% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.9% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.2% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.95% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 36.67% in July 2022, registering an 8.33% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 26.67% share, an increase of 60% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 20%, registering a 200% rise from June 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 13.33%, down 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 66.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 200% over the previous month, followed by TUI with 5 jobs and a 400% growth. SITA with 5 IT jobs and Hotelbeds S.L.U. with 2 jobs, recorded a 400% growth and a 77.78% decrease, respectively, while International Consolidated Airlines Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.33%, down by 15.38% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.33% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.33% share, flat growth over June 2022.
