The industry’s overall hiring increased by 28.22% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.16% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.7% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50.98% in July 2022, registering a 136.36% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.49% share, an increase of 116.67% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.61%, registering a 400% rise from June 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.96%, flat growth over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s travel & tourism industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Swiss Federal Railways posted 39 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 387.5% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 7 jobs and a 12.5% drop. GetYourGuide Deutschland with 4 IT jobs and Booking Holdings with 1 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, up by 83.33% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.53% share, registered an increase of 1100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.76% share, up 500% over June 2022.
