Thailand’s travel & tourism industry IT recruitment activity rises 46.1% in September 2022

Thailand’s travel & tourism industry registered a 46.1% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.64% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.87% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 2.3% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Thailand’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Thailand’s travel & tourism industry in September 2022.

1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 57.41% in September 2022, registering a 93.75% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 24.07% share, an increase of 116.67% over the previous month.

3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 12.96%, registering a 36.36% decline from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.56%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Thailand’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Thailand’s travel & tourism industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Booking Holdings posted 50 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 56.25% over the previous month, followed by Minor International with 3 jobs and a 50% growth. Accor with 1 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.85%, up by 33.33% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 31.48% share, registered an increase of 70% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.67% share, up 200% over August 2022.
