US-based company The Walt Disney’s IT hiring declined 3.0% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.76% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.21% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.22% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops The Walt Disney IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by The Walt Disney, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.43% in May 2022, and a 3.85% rise over April 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 9.57% in May 2022, and registered growth of 214.29%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 9.13% in May 2022, a 27.59% drop from April 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at The Walt Disney

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in May 2022 with an 82.61% share, which marked a 2.7% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 15.22%, registering a flat month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.17% share and a 25% rise over April 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with an 82.61% share in May 2022, a 3.26% growth over April 2022. India featured next with a 12.61% share, up 61.11% over the previous month. France recorded a 1.3% share, a decline of 25% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead The Walt Disney IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.78%, down by 5.97% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30% share, a growth of 21.05% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.22% share, up 2.94% over April 2022.
