US-based company Uber Technologies IT hiring rose 9.9% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.83% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 27.96% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 1.95% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Uber Technologies IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Uber Technologies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 88.64% in October 2021, and a 358.82% rise over September 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 9.09% in October 2021, and registered growth of 33.33%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.27% in October 2021, a 50% drop from September 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Uber Technologies

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 52.27% share, which marked a 1433.33% rise over the previous month.

Middle East & Africa stood next with 34.09%, registering a 200% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 6.82% share and a flat growth over September 2021.

In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 6.82% and a month-on-month increase of 200%.

Pakistan commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 52.27% share in October 2021, a 1433.33% growth over September 2021. Egypt featured next with an 18.18% share, up 220% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 10.23% share, an increase of 125% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Uber Technologies IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.73%, up by 190.91% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, a growth of 1000% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 1.14% share, flat growth over September 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 1.14%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
