The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.48% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.85% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.54% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.82% in September 2022, registering a 33.77% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 15.91% share, a decrease of 36.36% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.2%, registering a flat growth from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.39%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 23.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Bally’s posted 63 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 36.36% over the previous month, followed by Greene King with 24 jobs and a 17.24% drop. A.P. Moller – Maersk with 20 IT jobs and NATS Holdings with 16 jobs, recorded a 122.22% growth and a 52.94% decrease, respectively, while Longleat Enterprises recorded a flat growth with 7 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.57%, down by 36.36% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.2% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.09% share, down 38.46% over August 2022.
