Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which accounted for 17% of the total new job postings in Q2 2024 and were up by 91% year-on-year. Second highest were Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations, which accounted for 11% and rise by 376% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 13% of the new job postings and 35% higher year-on-year.

Top five companies in travel and tourism industry accounted for 57% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Whitbread with 2,141, followed by Marriott International with 976, while the highest increase was at Hilton Worldwide at 0%.
