1. Saudi Arabia – 13.6 million departures

GlobalData forecasts that Saudi Arabia will see 13.6 million international departures in 2022, making it the biggest source market in the Middle East. According to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database, Kuwait, the UAE and Bahrain are expected to be the most popular destinations for those travelling from Saudi Arabia in 2022.

2. Israel – 5.6 million departures

According to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database, Israel will be the second biggest source market in the Middle East, with 5.6 million international departures. GlobalData predicts that Turkey, Egypt and the US will be the most popular destinations for this origin market in 2022.

3. Iran – 5.5 million departures

With 5.5 million international departures anticipated, Iran will be the third biggest source market in the Middle East, according to GlobalData. Turkey, the UAE and Azerbaijan are forecast to be the most popular destinations for this source market in 2022, according to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database.

4. Bahrain – 3.6 million departures

Bahrain will be the fourth biggest source market in the Middle East with 3.6 million international departures, according to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database.
