Europe’s five largest hotel construction projects that commenced in Q1 2022

Here are Europe’s five largest hotel construction projects that were initiated in Q1 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Blackpool Central Station Mixed-Use Community – $382m

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use community on 6.9ha of land at Central Station site, Liverpool, England, the UK.

Construction work started in Q1 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2028.

The aim of the project is to provide better leisure and entertainment facilities in the region.

2. Sonnenweiher Grafenwoerth Mixed-Use Development – $234m

The project involves the construction of the Sonnenweiher Grafenwörth mixed-use complex on a 13.7ha area in Grafenwörth, Lower Austria.

Construction work commenced in Q1 2022 and is expected to finish in Q4 2025.

The project’s aim is to provide luxurious residential facilities along with recreational amenities for people in the region. The project will be a showcase of how future opportunities can also be used in rural regions.

3. Messeeingang Sparda Bank Tower Mixed-Use Complex – $200m

The project involves the construction of a 124-high mixed-use tower with a gross floor area of 32,000m2 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Construction work started in Q1 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2025.

The aim of the project is to build a mixed-use facilities with modern amenities and meet the growing requirements of various business sectors in the city.

4. Imerovigli Nobu Hotel and Restaurant – $100m

The project involves the construction of Nobu Hotel and Restaurant in Imerovigli on the Island of Santorini, Greece.

Construction work commenced in Q1 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q2 2022.

The project aims to offer the highest quality of services to the guests. The hotel will be the 26th hotel for Nobu Hospitality around the world and its 10th hotel in Europe.

5. Herceg Novi Ritz-Carlton Mixed-Use Development – $95m

The project involves the construction of a 300 units of mixed-use developmen in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.

Construction work started in Q1 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q3 2023.

The project aims to provide better hospitality facilities in the region.
