Europe’s five largest leisure and hospitality building construction projects that commenced in Q2 2022

Here are Europe’s five largest leisure and hospitality building construction projects that were initiated in Q2 2022, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Pownall Street Mixed-Use Community – $200m

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use community comprising two buildings of nine and 16-stories in Liverpool, the UK.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2026.

The project will be located at the site bound by Park Lane, Pownall Street, Liver Street and Beckwick Street.

2. Maraska Mixed-Use Complex – $137m

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex in Zadar, Croatia.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to finish in Q2 2025.

The main aim of the project is to provide better hospitality and leisure facilities in the region.

3. Keilaniemenranta Hotel and Office Complex – $120m

The project involves the construction of a 158m high, 40-story, 100,000m2 hotel and office towerg in Espoo, Finland.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2026.

The project aims to provide better hospitality and office facilities in the region.

4. Yves-du-Manoir Stadium Renovation – $101m

The project involves the renovation of the Yves-du-Manoir stadium in Colombes, Ile-de-France region, France.

Construction work commenced in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The project aims to be certified E3C1 level and E+C label (high energy performance and reduced carbon footprint).

5. Lokstedt Media Program House – $63m

The project involves the construction of a media program house with a gross floor area of 11,100m2 in Lokstedt, Hamburg, Germany.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2024.

The project aims to provide 550 workplaces to broadcast TV, radio and online services under one roof.
