Mercure Paignton general manager Jason Parry said: “The Mercure Paignton Hotel is a hugely exciting project and one which promises a new age of prosperity for the area. Not only do we expect the hotel to appeal to leisure visitors from across the UK, we look forward to welcoming local people to our new restaurant and bar to sample regional food and beverages such as freshly caught Brixham fish, award winning Salcombe gin or traditional real ale from Torbay Gin and Bays Brewery.
“Local relationships and partnerships are a huge priority for us, with 50% of our beverages from local suppliers, and art displayed in our rooms and public areas created by the region’s artists. The hotel definitely has a local flavour and feel.”
