
Hospitality group Accor has partnered with Crest Development to sign a new 220-room Mövenpick hotel in West Cairo, adding to its growing portfolio in Egypt.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the property will be situated within a larger mixed-use area in Sheikh Zayed City, responding to the growing accommodation demand in Greater Cairo.
Accor Middle East, Africa & Türkiye premium, midscale and economy chief operating officer Paul Stevens said: “This signing reflects a shared ambition to deliver premium hospitality experiences in high-potential locations, fully aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s urban expansion priorities.
“Mövenpick Cairo West will meet the rising demand for premium stays while exemplifying sustainable design and authentic local experiences.”
Mövenpick Cairo West will be strategically located to cater to the 6th of October City and Sheikh Zayed City, providing easy access to business districts, educational and healthcare facilities.
The hotel is in proximity to attractions such as the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids.

By GlobalDataDeveloped by Crest Development’s real estate subsidiary Living Lines, this property is set to offer amenities such as two restaurants, a bar, four meeting rooms, a 500m² ballroom, a spa, fitness centre, and two swimming pools.

The Mövenpick brand has expanded from its origins as a restaurant concept to a hospitality brand with 16 properties across Egypt.
The new Mövenpick property will contribute to Accor’s strategic goal of growing alongside Egypt’s urban development.
Accor’s current portfolio in the country includes 38 hotels and a pipeline of 20 additional properties, totalling more than 19,600 keys.
Earlier this year, Accor’s Sofitel brand opened the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile, a luxury five-star hotel with 615 guest rooms and suites, further cementing the group’s presence in the capital city.
