Accor has signed an agreement to develop Novotel Solan Kumarhatti, marking its entry into the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, ET Hospitality World reported.
The 120-room property is scheduled to welcome guests from 2031. It will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, and a bar.

Leisure amenities planned for the site include a dedicated spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fitness centre.
The development will also feature an 800m² ballroom alongside dedicated event grounds, intended to cater weddings, corporate events, trade functions, and private receptions.
Accor India and South Asia CEO Ranju Alex was quoted by ET Hospitality World as saying: “Himachal Pradesh continues to present exciting opportunities for hospitality, particularly in well-connected destinations that can serve both leisure and group demand.
“Kumarhatti’s strategic location along the Kalka-Shimla corridor, with easy access to Kasauli, Chail and Shimla, makes it an interesting market for us.
“The signing of Novotel Solan Kumarhatti marks another step in strengthening our presence in the region and brings a brand that is particularly well suited to the destination.
“With its focus on longevity, well-being, family-friendly experiences and versatile meeting and event spaces, Novotel can cater to the diverse ways in which travellers are discovering Himachal Pradesh today.”
Earlier this month, Accor opened Novotel Bhopal, marking the company’s first property under the brand in Madhya Pradesh.
Situated near Bhopal’s emerging Smart City district, the 118-room property serves corporate travellers, families, and local guests.
