DiamondRock Hospitality Company has selected Aimbridge Hospitality to manage the 793-room Westin Boston Waterfront hotel connected to Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in the US.

The DiamondRock Hospitality Company owns 31 premium hotels and resorts in the US.

The company operates the hotel under a franchise agreement with Marriot International’s subsidiary, Westin Hotels. The agreement will expire in 2026.

The hotel is located in the Seaport District in Boston, Massachusetts. It is located near Fenway Park and Boston Public Gardens and other attractions. Guests can also experience the water taxies that offer the view of the city’s skylines.

In 2020, the hotel expects to have a record year in group room nights sold. More than 130,000 group room nights are already under contract for the year, which is a 27% increase over the same period last year.

The hotel offers around 90,000ft2 of event space with 27 venues, which include the modern and open grand ballroom.

It also features a restaurant, called Sauciety, which serves American signature menu items, and a Birch Bar. It provides WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio, an indoor heated pool, whirlpool and eight Peloton bikes.

Aimbridge Hospitality CEO Dave Johnson said: “Aimbridge Hospitality is proud to be the designated management company for the Westin Boston Waterfront, continuing our strong relationship with DiamondRock.

“With an optimal location near distinguished Boston attractions, this addition to our portfolio is indicative of our current momentum and expansion throughout the US.”

Last year, Caesars Entertainment unveiled plans to open its first non-gaming hotel, Caesars Republic Scottsdale, in the US.

Caesars Republic Scottsdale, which will have 266 rooms, will be operated by Aimbridge Hospitality.
