Amadeus has agreed to purchase TravelClick from Thoma Bravo, a private equity investment firm, for $1.52bn.
Based in New York City, TravelClick is a global hospitality provider serving over 25,000 customers across 176 countries.

It offers cloud-based solutions, including Central Reservation System (CRS) and Guest Management Solution (GMS), as well as business intelligence and media solutions.
Its portfolio provides distribution reach across digital and traditional channels and enables hotels to boost their digital interaction with guests, increase revenues and performance, and reduce cost.
The addition of TravelClick’s solutions to the Amadeus’ portfolio will offer a wider range of technologies to hotels and chains of all sizes.

Around 1,100 employees of TravelClick will join Amadeus following completion of the deal, which is expected in the fourth quarter of 2018 after receipt of regulatory approvals.
The transaction will be debt-financed and become immediately earnings accretive.
