Hospitality cloud services provider Mews has been chosen by AMEK Group as the preferred property management system (PMS) partner for its AKEN Hotels & Resorts across America.
American hospitality management consulting company AMEK Group works with both independent and franchised hotels.
Its AKEN Hotels & Resorts collection is claimed to be designed to challenge the conventional, uniform approach to hotel management by offering flexibility and customisation options for hotel owners and operators.
It has plans to expand further in the Americas, with a focus on Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
AMEK Group is set to have the first property operating with Mews’ system this month.
Mews founder Richard Valtr said: “Mews continues tapping into unique projects that require passion and expertise to create something remarkable. Our partnership with AMEK Group is fuelled by shared enthusiasm for the independent luxury segment, and we can’t wait to further unlock our presence in Latin, Central and South America.”
The onboarding process with Mews is claimed to be thorough and transparent, providing clarity and preparation for properties during the transition.
AMEK Group co-founder and co-CEO Luis Gallotti said: “When operating independent luxury hotels, it is crucial to provide the on-site team with a robust but intuitive platform for them to reach their full potential while focusing on the guests rather than navigating the platform. The support we receive from Mews is simply impressive. It’s a true partnership.
“They don’t make us reinvent the wheel – instead, they listen to the market and user needs to find a solution, either immediately or with future product releases. We reached out to several other PMS providers, but Mews had an outstanding product and won us over with their attention to detail.”
This partnership follows the recent collaboration between Mews and CampusX, a provider of hotel and student accommodation services.
CampusX, which manages nine campuses with nearly 5,500 bed spots in Italy, has adopted the Mews cloud-based hospitality platform to facilitate its expansion into the hybrid hospitality market.
Since the implementation of Mews, CampusX has reported a significant performance improvement, especially during the traditionally slower off-season.
