Full-service luxury hotels developer AMS Hospitality has partnered with private investment firm Rockbridge and GWC Capital to develop the new Residence Inn by Marriott property in Idaho, US.

Located in the core of downtown Eagle, Idaho, the new Residence Inn hotel is part of the Molinari Park mixed-use development. Construction has started with the ground-breaking event for the hotel.

The hotel will offer 131 rooms that feature a selection of spacious suites for business and leisure travellers over both short-term and extended stays.

Residence Inn hotel will also house a premium fitness centre and more than 3,000ft2 of meeting space.

AMS Hospitality chief development officer John Cooper said: “We are very excited to build not only the newest Marriott product in Eagle, but also to bring the Residence Inn brand to this burgeoning market.

The hotel will complement other properties within the Molinari Park master development including premier apartment units and town homes, activated commercial space, and a public park.

AMS Hospitality, a strategic joint venture between Stormont Hospitality Group and the Allen Morris Company (AMCO), has more than $2.5bn in hotel development across 130 investments.

In June this year, the company acquired 97-key Circa 39 Hotel in Miami Beach as part of its plans to acquire $300m in hospitality assets across the US.

In October this year, LBA Hospitality has been contracted to manage a 97-suite Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Greenville, North Carolina.
