
Global company IHG Hotels & Resorts has provided construction update on its first Atwell Suites hotel in Miami, the US.
Construction of the 90-room hotel in Brickell is currently underway.
The hotel, which is slated to open by summer 2021, is part of a new high-rise, mixed-use property owned by Francisco Arocha, Pedro F. Villar, Albert Ovadia and Sunview Companies.
The property will also include a new 140-room Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell.
Atwell Suites brand was launched last year. It is IHG’s design-led, dynamic, all-suites hotel brand intended for travellers planning long stays of up to six nights.
The company has also offered a look into the design of its newest brand. Atwell Suites properties will feature a main lobby space with breakfast area, lounge and bar.

By GlobalDataOn the second floor, the properties will have a space called The Common for guests to work and relax, and a technology-enabled bookable meeting room known as The Study.
Additionally, the brand’s properties will feature a wet bar, coffeemaker and bar sink, a pull-out sofa work area, an oversized vanity in the bathroom and more.

IHG noted that 20 Atwell Suites properties are currently in planning and development stage in the US.
The company expects to start construction on more properties in the next few months.
