Blackberry Farm has opened Blackberry Mountain, a Relais & Châteaux-designated resort, on 5,200 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains of Eastern Tennessee, US, with 2,800 acres intended for land conservation, offering modern-day luxuries in a natural environment.

The new resort offers Blackberry Farm’s hospitality, along with food and beverage menus to complement the diverse offerings and panoramic views.

In addition to a peaceful and relaxing environment, the property offers immersive outdoor and wellness activities, including aerial yoga, trail running and forest bathing.

Blackberry Mountain includes a spa that offers restorative treatments and naturopathic consultations, along with the outdoor adventures and fitness classes, to foster wellness with an adventurous spirit.

Outdoor offerings include creekside meditation, forest bathing, endurance climbs, trail running, paddle boarding, rock climbing, bouldering, and mountain biking.

The resort offers 18 Stone Cottages, six Watchman Cabins and multi-bedroom Azalea Gap and Mountain Homes.

The Stone Cottages offer views of the Great Smoky Mountains and each cottage includes a private outdoor patio, a wood-burning fireplace and a soaking tub.

The Watchman Cabins, located near the Firetower, feature walls of the historic Hitch Cabin, floor-to-ceiling windows, scenic outlook decks, and wood-burning stoves.

Located in the property’s Lodge, Blackberry Mountain’s 221-seat restaurant, Three Sisters, offers seasonal patio seating and Hestan commercial kitchen equipment, and views of the Great Smoky Mountains.

The Firetower, located at the top of Blackberry Mountain, houses a 72-seat dining room and intimate 13-seat bar with 360 degree views of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Three Sisters has been built around a custom-designed, subterranean wine cellar that features more than 10,000 bottles and the beverage programme reflects a heritage of generationally sustainable wines and winemaking practices.

In addition to the Hub, the base camp for the property’s activities, Blackberry Mountain also offers arts and crafts space, a gym with a half basketball court and indoor rock climbing wall.
