Scottish brewer BrewDog has opened crowdfunded craft beer hotel, The DogHouse, in Columbus, Ohio, US.
Last March, the brewer announced that it was building the “world’s first” crowdfunded craft beer hotel.
The hotel features 32 rooms, including a 460-ft2 Punk suite. According to the company, guests can relax with a Punk IPA in their room, enjoying the view over the brewhouse.
The DogHouse is also claimed to be the first hotel in the world to provide guests a night’s stay inside a brewery.
Each guest will be treated to a minibar full of hand-picked brews. They can enjoy beer tap in their room for a fresh pint.
All rooms are en-suite, come with a built-in shower beer fridge for guests to sample hoppy drinks as they scrub up. They can use hop-infused shampoos and soaps created by Glenn Avenue Soaps only for The DogHouse.

By GlobalDataFour of the rooms at the hotel are dog-friendly. Guests can hang out with human and canine pals in the common areas such as the media room where they can watch TV shows or play a game.
Besides the hotel, the firm has recently unveiled on-site, 6,000ft2 interactive beer museum.
The museum provides a journey through the brewing process, history of craft beer, and a hands-on experience of ‘the fundamental four’ ingredients that contribute to the creation of a craft beer.
BrewDog was launched in 2007 by James Watt in partnership with Martin Dickie.
For The DogHouse hotel project, the firm set out to raise $75,000 through crowdfunding.
After securing over $300,000, four times the intended target through the crowdfunding, the company intends to open a second hotel at its headquarters in Aberdeeenshire, Scotland, in 2019.
