Choice Hotels EMEA has announced the expansion of its Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio with the addition of four boutique Scandinavian hotels, Hospitality Net has reported.
This move was made possible through an agreement between Nordic Choice Hotels and The Fortress Hotels.
The Fortress properties added to the list include Norway’s Oscarsborg Fortress, Kongsvinger Fortress, Reenskaug Hotel as well as Sweden’s Torreby Castle.
The announcement coincides with the refresh of Choice Hotels EMEA’s Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio, which at present consists of over 70 unique, independent hotels known for their welcoming and charismatic environments.
Choice Hotels EMEA CEO Jonathan Mills said: “The Scandinavian market has played a pivotal role in shaping our Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio in EMEA and we’re pleased to continue on this journey with Nordic Choice Hotels with the addition of these four unique properties across Norway and Sweden.”
The updated EMEA Ascend Hotel Collection will offer a “Haven of Hygge” in some of the region’s most captivating locations, the report said.
