It also involves Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, one of Curator’s founding sponsors and an owner of urban and resort lifestyle hotels in the US.

Pebblebrook is using Canary’s system as part of efforts to improve hotel-level productivity and operational efficiency.

Curator Hotel & Resort Collection president Jennifer Barnwell said: “Canary gives our members access to a powerful, hotel-specific technology platform that can improve responsiveness, drive ancillary revenue, streamline operations and enhance the guest experience — all while allowing each property to preserve its own voice and identity.”

Canary provides hotel and guest management software, which is used by more than 20,000 properties worldwide.

Its communication platform supports contact with guests through voice, text, webchat, OTA [online travel agent] channels and business-profile messaging.

Canary’s AI Voice system can handle calls, assist with reservations, respond to questions about the property, deal with common service requests, send folios and transfer more complicated issues to hotel employees.

Other tools, including AI Guest Messaging, AI Webchat, AI OTA Messaging and AI Business Profile functions, are used to respond across digital channels such as hotel websites, OTAs, SMS and WhatsApp, as well as Google and Apple business profiles.

The platform also includes front desk QR code, mobile check-in, mobile key, self-service kiosk, and tablet registration products, which aim to change arrival procedures, reduce congestion in lobbies and move repetitive desk-based tasks away from front-desk teams.

Payment-related functions include digital authorisations, payment links, PCI-compliant card collection, digital contracts, deposits and payments for sales and catering, and related workflows.

Canary’s Smart Checkout allows guests to choose departure times, request late checkout, check folios and leave feedback.

Canary’s AI Agent Studio also gives hotels the ability to adapt AI agents to property-specific workflows, brand voice, business rules and guest-service requirements.

Canary Technologies strategic alliances head Rebecca Sheehan said: “The best hotel technology should help teams deliver better service, not distract from it. Our platform gives independent hotels enterprise-grade AI and guest-management tools that are easy to deploy, highly flexible and built around real hotel workflows.

“We’re excited to continue this partnership with Curator and support Pebblebrook as they continue using technology to improve productivity, guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.”
