Marriott International’s EDITION Hotels has made its debut in Rome, Italy with the opening of Rome EDITION.
The new hotel features 91 rooms, including 17 suites, all with the brand’s signature design elements.
It was originally constructed in the 1940s and was formerly occupied by one of the main Italian banks. The building was developed by Cesare Pascoletti along with architect Marcello Piacentini.
The new Rome EDITION includes a show-kitchen restaurant, a rooftop lounge, a bar and pool, a courtyard garden and an urban wellness space with a gym and treatment rooms.
It also includes three unique bars, with Punch Room and Jade Bar on the ground floor and the Roof on the seventh floor.
Located a few steps from Via Veneto, the new hotel is near many major attractions of the city, including the Spanish Steps, Piazza Barberini, the Trevi Fountain and the Borghese Gardens.
At present, EDITION operates 15 hotels across the world – in Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Bodrum, Dubai, London, Madrid, Miami Beach, New York, Reykjavik, Sanya China, Shanghai, Tampa, Tokyo Toranomon and West Hollywood, as well as another property on Times Square in New York.
In September last year, Marriott International announced plans to open EDITION Hotels’ new five-star luxury boutique property, the Tampa EDITION, in Florida, in the US.
