Fauchon Hospitality, the sister company of gastronomy French brand Fauchon, has planned to bring its third property to Saudi Arabia.

Located at Diriyah Development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Fauchon L’Hôtel Riyadh will be developed in partnership with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and operator Yakoon Hospitality International.

Fauchon Hospitality president and CEO Jacques-Olivier Chauvin said: “We are proud to partner with DGDA and Yakoon Hospitality. This new development is yet another step to becoming a major player in the boutique luxury hospitality industry. Signing our first hotel in the Middle East and becoming a part of this monumental development is a truly exciting achievement as a strategic part of our ongoing growth.”

The signing comes as Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) announced the first 14 of its planned 38 hotel brands as part of the $50.6bn transformation.

First phase of Diriyah Gate will feature 16 five-star luxury hotel brands including Fauchon hotel.

The property will boast 80 guest rooms and suites, The Grand Café Fauchon, a spa, a rooftop outdoor pool and bar, and a Fauchon boutique.

Fauchon Hospitality opened the first property in Paris in September 2018, followed by a second in Kyoto in March this year.

Next year, the company will open more hotels in the US, China, and Japan.
