This hotel property, which features a historic corner building called the Mansion and a 24-storey glass tower, is the result of a seven-year restoration project taken up by developer Flâneur Hospitality.

CNY Group was appointed as the general contractor for the hotel property, according to the New York Yimby.

Situated two streets north of Madison Square Park and five streets south of the Empire State Building, the hotel’s interior designs were completed by Swedish architect Martin Brudnizki, who had drawn inspiration from the history and heritage of historic buildings.

The hotel will feature a marble lobby with antique mirror-panelled walls, modern furniture, bookcases that look like 19th-century Chinese cabinets and Murano glass chandeliers.

The dining options at the hotel will include Café Carmellini, which will serve French and Italian cuisine; the Portrait Bar, which will serve breakfast as well as cocktails and the Wine Vault, a bank vault turned into a wine cellar.

Its Mansion Ballroom, with a colour palette of gold and blue accents and 20ft-high ceilings, will provide 260m² space for social events. An outdoor terrace next to the main lobby will be able to accommodate roughly 200 guests.

The Fifth Avenue Hotel is set to become a part of the Leading Hotels of the World, which is a collection of exclusive independent luxury hotels. The hotel’s rooms are expected to be priced from $895 per night.
