Marriott International has announced the opening of the first Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The new 134-room Residence Inn by Marriott Al Jaddaf hotel, located in a prime city district, provides convenient access to key areas including Downtown Dubai and Business Bay.

It features modern residential suites, private terraces, spacious studios, one and two-bedroom suites, three-bedroom duplex suites, meeting room space and a boardroom.

All these suites are equipped with full kitchens, large bathrooms, separate living and working spaces.

Amenities offered by Residence Inn by Marriott Al Jaddaf include complimentary grocery delivery service, free WiFi, laundry facilities, a well-equipped gym, sauna, and steam room.

Marriott International EMEA Brand vice-president Jenni Benzaquen said: “As a thriving destination for leisure and business travellers alike, there is no better place than Dubai to debut Residence Inn by Marriott in the UAE.

“Guests will benefit from the upscale living experience paired with hotel amenities that this pioneering longer stay brand offers, allowing them to maintain a healthy balance, maximise their time and connect with the local scene in a prime city location.”

Residence Inn by Marriott is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 brands, with more than 870 properties in over 15 countries and territories.

In January this year, Marriott announced expansion of its portfolio in Asia Pacific with approximately 100 new properties expected to open this year.

The properties to open include JW Marriott Shanghai Fengxian, W Changsha, W Xiamen, St. Regis Qingdao and The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Jiuzhaigou in China.
