Led by interior architect André Fu, the redesign incorporates elements referencing traditional Japanese stately homes.

Rooms and suites feature fluid layouts, sliding panels, hardwood joinery, and in-room technology such as 65in televisions and portable speakers.

Minibar cabinets now include Japanese tea sets, premium local teas, and traditional rice crackers.

According to Four Seasons, guests are welcomed with seasonal Japanese fruit and wagashi. For convenience, select suites have dedicated amenity cooler boxes intended to preserve welcome offerings for guests arriving late.

The 24-hour in-room dining menu has been updated, with a range of Japanese and Western dishes as well as comfort food options suited to various guest needs.

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo general manager Jens Wycisk said: “Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi has long been the city’s premier boutique retreat.

“Our recent renovation and renewed commitment to personalised service reaffirm this promise for today’s travellers, bringing focus to serenity, connection and individuality.

“Meticulously curated spaces, paired with our team’s intuitive care, create the kind of meaningful encounters that stay with guests long after departure.”

The hotel has expanded its concierge programming, offering activities that include ramen-making workshops, sumo outings, and curated bar-hopping experiences across neighbourhoods such as Ginza and Shinjuku.

The redesigned public and private spaces aim to create an atmosphere between a city retreat and easy access to Tokyo’s urban environment, reflecting both Japanese traditions and international standards of service.

Earlier this month, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii, US, launched the Club Floor, a reimagined hotel-within-a-hotel experience that aims to offer guests a private stay.
