The hotel will include 858 guest rooms, a variety of restaurants and bars, a spa, retail spaces, leisure areas, and meeting facilities, including three ballrooms and breakout areas.
The first phase of the project, comprising 431 guest rooms, is scheduled to open in late 2028.
Both development and construction are led by Mundo Planalto, which is also managing a fractional ownership scheme that allows buyers to acquire interests for access to shared accommodation and vacation options.
Mundo Planalto CEO José Roberto Nunes said: “Developed under a fractional ownership concept, the project will allow owners to acquire fractions of the development with access to premium hospitality experiences, combining the flexibility of a vacation club with the international standards and entertainment-driven atmosphere of the Hard Rock brand.”
Hard Rock International is responsible for applying its brand standards and will manage hotel operations upon completion.
The hotel aims to align its facilities with the local lifestyle and accommodate visitor demand.
Hard Rock International hotel operations senior vice-president John Rees said: “Together with Mundo Planalto, we look forward to bringing an experience that reflects the spirit of the brand while honouring the character of this remarkable region, which is one of the most sought-after leisure destinations, known for its rich gastronomy, cultural events and stunning Serra Gaúcha landscapes.”
The planned opening is expected to contribute to regional job growth and tourism.
