Hospitality company Hilton has opened its first hotel in Vail, Colorado, after a renovation.
The new hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Vail, has 116 modern guest rooms, and is positioned as a destination for sports enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers and family travellers.
DoubleTree by Hilton global head and senior vice president Shawn McAteer said: “While Vail is one of the world’s most popular ski destinations, it continues to attract adventure-seekers of all kinds, year-round.
“DoubleTree by Hilton Vail welcomes guests with a refreshingly affordable retreat and newly renovated hotel, where they can take in all that the alpine village has to offer while also enjoying our first-class service and amenities, all starting with our signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie.”
Each guest room of DoubleTree by Hilton Vail features rustic, wood walls and custom-framed prints of ski equipment patents. Each room also comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, HDTV as well as a live-edge wood desk.
The new hotel offers easy access to slopes with its onsite ski rental and complimentary shuttle to Vail Village and Lionshead.

The hotel is set to open a new restaurant, Pivot62, which will serve meals prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Other dining venues include Westside Café that serves casual American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Casa Mexico, which serves both lunch and dinner.
Additionally, the property features over 2,782ft² of meeting and banquet facilities through its three event spaces. The hotel also includes the 1,935ft²of Terrace Ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 guests.
For small meeting needs, the property includes Wildwood conference room with 528ft² of space and the executive board room comprising 330ft² of space with plug and play business amenities for the executive on-the-go.
