Hotel Sofia Barcelona has joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, thereby becoming the first Hyatt hotel in Barcelona and third hotel in Spain to join this brand, which was launched in 2016.
Hotel Sofia Barcelona, was originally named after Princess Sofia, wife to the former King of Spain Juan Carlos I.
The hotel has a rich history coupled with contemporary and luxurious design.
The 465-room hotel is located on the Avenida Diagonal, one of the main avenues in Barcelona.
The hotel general manager Felipe Espinoza said: “We are thrilled to welcome guests to the first Hyatt hotel in Barcelona.
“Hotel Sofia Barcelona has long been a symbol of glamour and luxury in the area. Its rich history and stunning architecture will deliver an unforgettable stay for the modern traveler.”

It offers Mediterranean-inspired spa, the Sofia Oasis Wellness & Spa, and a tropical garden pool.

The hotel also has a convention hall that can accommodate more than 1,000 attendees, as well as 22 multi-purpose meeting rooms spread out over two floors.
Its Impar restaurant offers Mediterranean fusion cuisine, while Sofia Be So is a luxury restaurant serving traditional local dishes with premium ingredients. Sofia Bar offers coffee and cocktails, and Philosofia is the hotel’s own bakery. Guests can also enjoy live dining experience through Zuu.
