Germany-based HR Group has completed the acquisition of H-Hotels, a privately managed hotel company, representing a significant development in its expansion efforts.
Through this acquisition, effective as of 25 February, the company substantially augments its existing collection of properties by approximately 33%, solidifying its position as a leading multi-brand hotel operator across Europe.
HR Group plans to further develop the H-Hotels brand while ensuring that the hotels continue to operate under their established name.
The company intends to use its expertise in procurement and sales to realise additional synergies from this acquisition.
HR Group chairman and CEO Ruslan Husry said: “A special thank you goes to my colleagues at H-Hotels, Alexander Fitz and Thomas Querl, without whom this monumental task would not have been possible.
“We are convinced that H-Hotels, with its strong brands, high-quality properties, and outstanding corporate culture, is a perfect fit for our portfolio. We look forward to working together with our new colleagues to further develop H-Hotels and to combine the strengths of both companies.”
With its head office in Bad Arolsen, Hesse, H-Hotels operates various brands such as Hyperion Hotels, H4 Hotels, H2 Hotels, H+ Hotels, H.ostels, and H.omes. It has more than 60 properties across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Hungary.
In the coming months, HR Group will collaborate with H-Hotels’ teams to establish a long-term vision focusing on digitalisation, food and beverage concepts, and an optimal organisational structure.
Husry added: “H-Hotels is renowned for its excellent properties and diverse brand portfolio, ranging from budget-friendly accommodations to premium hotels. We are excited to further develop this valuable portfolio and strengthen our market presence.”
