Hyatt Hotels’s affiliate has signed a management agreement with Kastrati Hotels & Tower to open the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Albania in late 2019.

To be called Hyatt Regency Tirana, this hotel will have 151 rooms.

Hyatt vice president for development Takuya Aoyama said: “Albania is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and we are thrilled announce plans for a hotel in Tirana, a city that has undergone real transformation in recent years.

“With a prime location in the country’s capital, the hotel will appeal to both business travelers and those looking to experience the cultural sights of the city.”

It is situated close to national landmarks such as the Presidential Palace, Palace of Congress, National Park, and the soon-to-open National Arena.

The hotel is close to a 10-minute walk from Blloku, an upmarket area known as an entertainment destination with boutiques, shops, restaurants, and bars. Further, the property is 15km away from the Rinas Mother Theresa International Airport.
