Hyatt Centric, a brand of Hyatt Hotels, has debuted in the Indian city of Chandigarh with the opening of Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh.

Located in the city’s commercial and shopping district, the new hotel has 144 rooms comprising 138 guestrooms and six suites, all featuring modern and contemporary decor.

Dining venues at Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh includes a multi cuisine three-meal restaurant Corby’s, pan Asian restaurant and bar KOYO KOYO and Hyatt Centric Lounge that serves authentic tea and coffee.

The hotel boasts approximately 26,000ft2 events space, which includes three dedicated indoor and outdoor venues on the ground and first floor.

Other guest amenities include outdoor pool, fitness centre featuring high-tech cardio and fitness equipment and a respite place named Viram.

The hotel design took inspiration from French architect Le Corbusier, who along with Pierre Jeanneret, Jane Drew, and Maxwell Fry designed the Chandigarh city.

The property is located close to the city’s major parks, cafes, shopping plazas and restaurants.

Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh general manager Maulina Gupta said: “We are extremely pleased to introduce the Hyatt Centric brand to Punjab and Haryana with the opening of this hotel, and we look forward to delivering the brand’s exquisite hospitality and personalized service to local residents and visitors in the City Beautiful.

“Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh is an exciting addition to Hyatt’s portfolio of hotels and brands in India, with its contemporary décor and playful design.”

Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh marks Hyatt’s second hotel in the city, and the fourth Hyatt Centric hotel in India.

Last month, the company opened Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai, its first Hyatt Centric branded property in the city.
