Hyatt Hotels has unveiled its new Andaz brand hotel in Singapore marking the brand’s 17th property and the first opening in Southeast Asia.
The new hotel is located near Marina Bay and surrounded by the Kampong Glam, Bras Basah Bugis and Little India cultural districts, while it is a twenty-minute drive from Changi Airport and five minutes from Singapore’s central business district.
Andaz general manager Olivier Lenoir said: “We are extremely excited to open Andaz Singapore and to bring the inspirational and creative Andaz brand to Southeast Asia.
“By bringing in the local spirit of our neighbourhood and offering fresh perspectives, Andaz Singapore aims to inspire a sense of discovery.”
Designed by German architect Ole Scheeren, Andaz Singapore is based in DUO, which is a fusion of residences, retail spaces and offices.
In collaboration with interior designer Andre Fu of AFSO, the hotel exhibits artefacts designed by Brazilian sculptor André Mendes, Singaporean artist Ahmad Abu Bakar, New York-based Filipina artist Monica Delgado and Malaysian artist Fauzulyusri Mohd Yusof.
The hotel features 342 guestrooms including 26 suites, with additional features such as mini bar, Lounge and Sunroom.
Andaz offers a variety of drinking and dining options to its guests through its dining venues.
The Alley on 25th level includes Smoke & Pepper, Auntie’s Wok & steam, Icehaus, 665°F and Mr Stork, a rooftop bar offering complete city view.
The hotel also provides event halls on the third level spread over 14,800ft² having four residential-style spaces The Glasshouse, Garden Studio and two Studios available for smaller gatherings.
