Hyatt Hotels has opened its new hotel under Grand Hyatt brand in Kochi, in the south Indian state of Kerala.

The 264-room Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty hotel is a waterfront urban resort and is the third Grand Hyatt branded hotel in India.

Owned by Lulu Group International, the resort has been designed by architects from Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo UK.

Hyatt Hotels India operations vice-president Sunjae Sharma said: “We are delighted to introduce the Grand Hyatt brand to Kerala and grow our brand footprint in the region.

“Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty is a spectacular destination resort setting a new standard for living grand in the city. Both inside and out, the hotel’s design, cuisine and grand experiences celebrate the hospitality of Kochi.”

The hotel features guestrooms including 33 grand suites, four executive suites, and one presidential suite, in addition to three two-bedroom villas and one three-bedroom villa.

Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty houses an all-day modern café, Malabar Café, a poolside restaurant known as Thai Soul, and Colony Clubhouse & Grillon the rooftop.

The hotel offers 32,290ft² of meeting space, including a Grand Ballroom and smaller residential-style meeting rooms.

Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty also houses an 11,000ft² spa Śāntata along with leisure facilities that include a Grand Club lounge and a fitness centre.
