Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that one of its affiliates has signed an agreement with CES Pirie Hotel (SA) for a new hotel in Adelaide, Australia.

Construction on the new 295-room Hyatt Regency in Adelaide will begin early next year with plans to open for commercial service in 2023.

Hyatt Regency brand seeks to offer its guests a relaxed atmosphere for events, leisure and business purposes.

The hotel space is designed for all sorts of activities such as work, collaboration or relaxation while offering food and beverage options.

Hyatt Asia Pacific group president David Udell said: “We are grateful to work with CES Pirie Hotel on the opening of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide and are excited to bring the Hyatt Regency brand, which has a strong legacy and following, back to this vibrant city. Located in Adelaide’s city centre, the hotel will provide guests with the tools to stay connected and benefit from the hotel’s intuitive and personalised service.”

The new hotel is expected to have an 8,000 ft2 of event space, a café, club, swimming pool along with a fitness facility and a rooftop bar.

Hyatt Asia-Pacific real estate and development vice-president Monika Dubaj said, “The hotel is part of our strategy to provide more offerings to travellers as we expand in Australia, with new destinations such as Adelaide and Brisbane that will complement our current portfolio of seven hotels in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra.”
