“These boutique offerings are called ‘Kutir’! The Taj Guras Kutir is the fifth in the series after Ganga Kutir, Raaj Kutir, Taal Kutir and Chia Kutir.”

Located within Sikkim’s alpine terrain, the hotel is spread across 14 acres of land and provides views of the Kanchenjunga.

It has 69 rooms, each featuring Buddhist-inspired paintings called Thangka.

Guests can enjoy dining at the forest-themed, all-day diner Machan, as well as Soi & Sake and Guras Lounge & Bar, which serves hi-tea and a collection of cocktails.

The property can also host both social and corporate gatherings at its banquet and meeting venues.

Among the other amenities provided at the hotel include the J Wellness Circle and game rooms.

Furthermore, the hotel’s location provides access to trekking in the Himalayas as well as to a Buddhist monastery.

Currently, IHCL has a total of 11 hotels in Northeast India, with three more in the development pipeline, including Taj, Vivanta and Ginger brands in Sikkim.
