Hospitality company Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has expanded its portfolio in the state of Punjab with the signing of two new hotel projects in Ludhiana.
These establishments, notably a Gateway and a Ginger hotel, will be integrated into a larger mixed-use development scheme.
IHCL real estate and development executive vice president Suma Venkatesh said: “Ludhiana’s recognition under the Smart City Mission has spurred significant infrastructure development, leading to a surge in business travel and tourism.
“The signing of Gateway and Ginger hotels is in line with IHCL’s strategy of building its presence in emerging markets. We are delighted to partner with Hampton Sky Realty and contribute to the city’s growth story.”
The forthcoming Gateway Ludhiana will feature 110 keys and range of facilities including an all-day-diner and bar, a gym and swimming pool, and a 5,000ft² ballroom suitable for hosting various events.
The Ginger Ludhiana will offer 100 keys and incorporate facilities such as the brand’s all-day dining option Qmin, a bar, a modern gym, and a banquet hall for both social and corporate functions.
Hampton Sky Realty chairman and managing director Sanjeev Arora and whole time director Kavya Arora said: “We are delighted to partner with IHCL, India’s largest hospitality company, for these landmark projects in Ludhiana. These hotels will play a key role in showcasing Punjab.”
With these new properties, IHCL’s presence in Punjab will increase to five hotels, including four that are currently under development.
IHCL’s portfolio includes 368 hotels, with 128 more in development, spread across four continents, 14 countries, and over 150 locations worldwide.
