The green field project will also feature fitness and leisure amenities, including a gymnasium and a swimming pool.

To accommodate corporate gatherings, weddings, and social functions, the venue will incorporate banqueting spaces, a conference room, and dedicated meeting rooms.

IHCL Real Estate and Development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Agra is an integral part of India’s tourism landscape and one of the country’s most iconic destinations.

“As a key stop on the Golden Triangle circuit alongside Delhi and Jaipur, the city continues to attract domestic and international travellers alike.

“Beyond tourism, Agra is evolving into a significant urban centre in Uttar Pradesh, supported by infrastructure development, new townships, and upcoming IT parks.

For this hotel project, IHCL partnered with Raj Kailash Hospitality.

Raj Kailash Hospitality promoters Kishore Kumar Gupta and Mani Gupta said: “Agra is a destination with strong tourism demand and growing infrastructure. We are pleased to partner with IHCL to bring Gateway to the city.”

Following this addition, IHCL’s footprint in Uttar Pradesh will stand at 64 properties, 27 of which are currently under development.

Earlier this month, IHCL signed agreement  with Lords India Entertainment to develop a new hotel in Alwar, Rajasthan.

Located in the Aravalli hills, Gateway Alwar will offer 122 rooms and provide several dining venues.
